Ecorum found new premises for Sampo plc at Fabianinkatu 21 in the center of Helsinki

Ecorum acted as premises search consultant in the relocation project of Sampo plc’s head office. In the business premises search, Sampo was looking for a central location in the heart of Helsinki, with stringent geographic and ESG criteria. Despite these requirements, the initial search identified over a dozen potential properties, from which the top five were selected for on-site reviews. Ultimately, Sampo chose the Fabian 21 property, owned by Sponda, as its new head office.

“We wanted to offer our staff modern and comfortable facilities that would be easily accessible and also increasingly attract our telecommuters to the office. The new premises also had to meet our high ESG standards”, says Mr. Kai Sotamaa, director of risk management at Sampo.

In the thoroughly modernized building, Sampo’s head office will use an entire floor of 2,800 square meters. The new premises include, for example, large balconies with city views, a fully equipped kitchen as well as state-of-the-art studio and conference facilities. Sampo head office will move into the new premises in the summer of 2025. After the renovations, the building is environmentally certified at BREEAM In-Use Excellent level. In addition to Sampo’s head office, Fabian 21’s tenant roster includes, among others, restaurants Bank and Scolare as well as a wine bar and a gym operated by Elixia.
