The international real estate industry conference was held again on 15-18 March after a two-year corona break. According to unofficial estimates up to 20,000 participants attended the Cannes event. Among them, was also our own Ecorum delegation, now reporting the news from Cannes:
“After the long wait, the general mood has been really positive, relieved and enthusiastic. With more than 6,000 investors and financiers present, our discussions have revolved mainly around transaction opportunities and the market situation in general. The discussions have confirmed that there still is plenty of investment potential, although the words Ukraine and inflation are of course regularly mentioned in the debate.
The positive and easy-going atmosphere has also led to a much more relaxed dress style than in 2019. There is literally spring in the air, and the regulation about obligatory mask use ended just one day before the event. Here in Cannes no one talks about the pandemic anymore.”
