Capman Real Estate undertook an extensive renovation of their property at Kansakoulukatu 3 in Kamppi already two years ago. The building has six office floors of 740-875 square meters each. As a result of our leasing effort, The Economic Development department of Helsinki City Executive Office will relocate to the building and become one of its major tenants. The department moves from very stylish, but quite impractical premises in an old prestigious building at the corner of Unioninkatu and Pohjoisesplanadi. Just like the old ones, also the new facilities are in the very center of the city. The modern activity-based premises both save space and boost teamwork, staff wellbeing and social interaction in the workspace.
The Economic Development department includes a wide range of units that, among other tasks, are in charge of the city’s business, innovation and competitiveness policies, promote entrepreneurship and tourism, and take care of employment and immigration issues.
In the project, the entire fourth floor of the building and about half of the fifth floor were leased to the new tenant. We found just the right premises for the tenant, and as a bonus, the whole property had an innovation-oriented customer focus. Tenants have access to state-of-the-art shared working spaces as well as versatile user services, which are provided by the domestic quality operator Innovation Home.
